IFPD Honors Officers And Dispatchers

The Idaho Falls Police Department honored six officers and two dispatchers on Wednesday for exemplifying dedication and professionalism in keeping in the highest traditions of law enforcement and the E911 Center.

Officers Brandon Storer and Dax Siddoway received Commander?s Commendations for their efforts in setting up a sting operation that lead to the arrest of four men soliciting prostitutes on Oct. 31. Their work also lead to arrests for possession of marijuana, cocaine and Spice.

Officer Malin Reynolds received the Chief?s Commendation for his actions on June 17 that demonstrated great bravery while facing an armed subject. The suspect shot Reynolds in the chest as he tried to apprehend him. Reynolds actions following being shot kept the man from harming additional officers.

Lt. Royce Clements and officers Joel Tisdale and Paul Murray each received the Medal of Valor for demonstrating courage above and beyond the call of duty as they responded to a suicidal male at 350 Falls Drive on Oct. 14. Their actions preserved and protected their fellow officers Idaho Falls residents, the department said in a news release.

The IFPD also awarded Dispatchers Treena Strong and Andi Anderson the Commander?s Commendations for their roles and outstanding service during the officer-involved shooting on Oct. 14. Both Strong and Anderson thoroughly gathered and provided crucial information during the incident to enable officers to plan their response, according to the news release.
