Rexburg Chamber Warns Members Of Scam

An organization is posing as Madison High School and asking for donations, according to a notice from the Rexburg Area Chamber of Commerce to its members.

?If contacted via telephone for any type of solicitation, please be careful,? said Madison Principal Rodger Hampton as quoted by Donna Benfield, the chamber?s executive director. She added that there is no one trying to raise money for any group at the high school, and that students are encouraged not to contact area businesses.

The calls appear to be a scam, Benfield said.

She says those who receive the phone call should contact Shane Proctor or Hampton at (208) 359-3305.
