There is another delay in the sexual abuse case against former Snake River Junior High principal Christopher Cox. The presiding district judge in the case has been disqualified.

Cox was scheduled to appear in district court on Monday, but that appearance has been canceled.

According to court records, a motion to disqualify district judge Darren Simpson was filed and approved.

Cox is charged with sexually abusing a 14-year-old former student. Each of the 3 counts against him carries a possible $50,000 fine and a maximum sentence of 25 years in prison.
