Ladies Tea Guild Remembers Titanic’s 100th Anniversary

A group of Idaho Falls women is remembering the 100th anniversary of the Titanic sinking with a themed tea party.

The ‘Ladies Tea Guild’ filled The Stillwater on Monday night, decked out in early 1900s costumes from head to toe.

The rooms were decorated with authentic artifacts, like a Boston newspaper from the day after the accident.

“(We’re) just recreating it again and giving more remembrance with the new 3D movie coming out and more people thinking about it again,” said Tonia Burgess-Kinghorn, who owns The Stillwater. “It’s just such a special time frame, so just giving it accreditation. So it’s wonderful.”

The Stillwater Tea Room in Idaho Falls is dedicating the entire month of April to Titanic-themed parties every Tuesday.
