Travelers Satisfied With Local Airport
For a small-sized airport, Idaho Falls Regional Airport has many contented travelers.
Lines at checkstands, luggage stress, getting through security…all things travelers worry about before boarding a plane. Frequent flyer Vicky Duffey said those aren’t things she has to worry about at our local airport.
“We [my husband and I] lived in Long Island, New York for a while and the comparison of both airports .. it’s really a plus for Idaho Falls,” said Duffey.
Duffey said that altogether, she’s traveled out of the Idaho Falls Regional Airport between forty to fifty times and said the convenience is what keeps her coming back.
“I’ve traveled worldwide, including to places like Egypt, Turkey and South Africa, and honestly, the size of the airport is great,” said Duffey.
Airport Director Len Nelson said it’s the accessibility, service and offered routes that keep travelers pretty content for the most part.
“We’re pleased when people feel like we’re not being a roadblock of any kind and that we’re actually helping them. That’s our job — to make their transition from the road to the airways the best that it can be,” said Nelson.
Nelson says one thing he hopes to see offered at the Idaho Falls Regional Airport soon is a flight to Seattle.
Another direct flight will be offered soon at the airport. A direct route to Oakland will be available to Idaho Falls travelers later this month.
