Police: Suspects In Robbery Tired Of Waiting In Line For Beer
A firearm was brandished Saturday night when four people got impatient and robbed the Jet Stop at the Pocatello Regional Airport, police said.
Pocatello Police Department spokesperson Diane Brush said Pablo Orlando Jimenez, 25, Rebecca Mabe, 35, Edwardo Lopez Jaramillo, 46, and a minor were waiting in line at the Jet Stop. A clerk said the suspects told her they didn’t want to wait and left the store with beer. She said one pointed a gun at her.
Pocatello police found the suspects 40 minutes later, after responding to a 911 call reporting suspects’ vehicle leaving the scene at a high speed that struck a guard rail on Interstate 15. They found the four suspects and their damaged vehicle at the intersection of Flandro and Quinn roads.
The three adults were charged with burglary and aggravated assault and/or being principal to those charges. The Jet Stop and Pocatello Airport are city property in Power County. As a result, the three were jailed in the Power County Jail pending arraignment Monday.
The fourth suspect, the minor, was charged and released to his mother.
