Police: Shelley Man Had Stolen Credit Cards

A Shelley man pulled over for reckless driving was arrested after he was found to be under the influence of alcohol, driving without privileges and in possession of stolen credit cards, Idaho Falls police said.

Officers stopped Lewis N. Johnson, 29, at Yellowstone and B at 2 a.m. Tuesday. After Lewis was arrested on a charge of driving without privileges, officers impounded the vehicle. Police said they found several identification cards and credit cards belonging to another person.

The cards were reported stolen hours before the traffic stop, when they had been taken from a purse at R&R Bar.
