18 Vehicles Crash Amid Blowing Dust On I-84
State police say a dust storm that reduced visibility caused an 18-vehicle crash on Interstate 84 in south-central Idaho that sent at least two people to the hospital with minor injuries.
The crash happened at around 5 p.m. Wednesday near Kasota Road, north of Burley. The eastbound lanes of the interstate were blocked for more than four hours.
The Times-News reports injured motorists were taken to Cassia Regional Medical Center and Minidoka Memorial Hospital.
There was no immediate description of the crash, how it occurred or how serious the damage was to the vehicles.
Idaho State Police and the Minidoka and Jerome county sheriff’s offices continue to investigate.
