Police: Man Dragged 5 Blocks With Car After Argument

Police said an Idaho Falls man dragged another man five and a half blocks down the street with his car.

Adam Keith Rhoades, 25, was arrested and charged with aggravated battery after police responded to a personal injury accident at about 10:30 p.m. Thursday. Upon arrival, police found the 42-year-old victim sitting inside a home, hurt and gasping.

He was taken to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

According to witnesses’ accounts, the victim and Rhoades had gotten into an argument after the victim intervened during an argument between Rhoades and Rhoades? wife.

Idaho Falls police said Rhoades then got into his Honda Accord to leave when the victim reached into the open window to grab his belongings. Rhoades rolled up the window, trapping the victim?s arm in the vehicle and dragged him five and a half blocks.

Officers found Rhoades about 12:30 a.m. during a traffic stop on Northgate Mile. He was a passenger in the vehicle.
