Fire burning on Highway 33

The West Menan Fire has burned 200 acres fire about 10 miles west of Rexburg along Highway 33.

According to the Bureau of Land Management, the fire started around 3:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

There are eight engines, one dozer and one aircraft directing two air tankers fighting this blaze.

The BLM believes the cause of the fire was someone shooting at propane tanks.
