Hunter rescued in Bonneville County

An injured hunter was rescued Sunday.

Bonneville County backcountry officers and Search and Rescue volunteers were called out at about 7:10 p.m. to help Darrin Miller, 40. Sheriff’s office spokesman Sgt. Jeff Edwards said Miller was hurt in a horseback accident on the South Fork of Bear Creek north of Palisades Reservoir.

Rescuers helped Miller to a place where he could be picked up and flown out of the area by Air Idaho Rescue. Miller was reported in stable condition at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center on Monday morning.
