Salt Lake Express bus crash sends 3 to hospital
Three people are in the hospital after the bus they were riding on crashed Sunday morning.
A Salt Lake Express bus was driving north on Interstate 15 when Idaho State Police said the driver lost control on the icy road, crossed over the median and both lanes of southbound traffic. The bus came torest on the right shoulder of the southbound lanes, ISP said.
It happened at 1:10 a.m. at mile marker 70 which is near the Pocatello Creek exit.
Elijah Hansen, 30, of Provo, Utah was behind the wheel, according to ISP.
Three of his passengers were taken to Portneuf Medical Center. Neither their conditions nor the total number of people on the bus at the time were released by Idaho State Police.
