5 year Idaho Falls golf plan approved

A five-year plan for golf courses in Idaho Falls is approved.

Idaho Falls City Council voted Tuesday night on the plan which includes a fee increase that should increase revenue by a million dollars.

The revamped business plan also includes returning profit centers like golf pro shops and cart rentals to the city.

There was no controversy at Tuesday’s council meeting. One woman did raise a concern that raising fees would result in fewer people on fixed incomes being able to golf.

The five-year plan will only raise fees for one year; they will then be re-evaluated the following year.
