Mine Hill fire reported near Mackay
The Central Idaho Interagency Fire Center reports a small wild fire was reported at around 2:30 p.m. near Mackay.
Fire information officer Amy Baumer said the “Mine Hill” fire was estimated at 20 to 30 acres in size at around 3:30 p.m. Thursday. The fire is burning in sage and grass.
A Salmon-Challis National Forest engine and a Mackay volunteer fire department truck were responding to the fire.
