Pocatello man charged with battery on an officer

A Pocatello man was arrested at 4:09 p.m. Thursday after he attempted to escape an arrest warrant.

Casey Roy Casper, 42, was wanted on an Idaho Department of Corrections warrant for a parole violation.

Pocatello detectives spotted Casper and followed him into the Fred Meyer Department Store at 800 Yellowstone. After the officers identified themselves, Casper struck the detectives and resisted his arrest.

Casper was arrested on the original warrant, battery on an officer, and resisting arrest.
