Fort Hall fires contained
The fire that caused four homes to be evacuated in Fort Hall was controlled late Tuesday night.
The South Ross Fork fire burned 317 acres, said Randy’L Teton, a Shoshone-Bannock tribal spokeswoman. Bureau of Land Management, Fort Hall, Chubbuck, Pocatello and Inkom firefighters battled the blaze, which was contained at 10 p.m. and controlled at 11:30 p.m.
No homes were damaged in the fire, she said.
Another fire, the West Fork, burned 1/8 of an acre and was quckly controlled.
Both fires were caused by lightning.
