Police: No cause of death released in toddler car death yet
A 21-month-old who died after being left unattended in a car on June 18 in Ammon had symptoms consistent with hyperthermia, but no official cause of death has been released, the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office said Friday.
Earlier reports from the Post Register suggested heat has been determined as the cause of death of Elizabeth Randall. However, autopsy results have not yet been publicized, and the only available information concerns preliminary findings about the circumstances of the death.
No official cause of death has been released.
Capt. Samuel Hulse said any reporting of a cause of death at this point would be “jumping the gun.”
Bonneville County Prosecutor Bruce Pickett said his office has received reports from investigators regarding the death, and his office is reviewing them. No one has been charged.
