Man accused of intruding, destroying property in home

A man entered a house on South Pioneer Drive in Bonneville County on Sunday without consent and destroyed property inside, the sheriff’s office said.

The sheriff’s office said Guyles W. Reichmand, 53, of Butte, Mont., opened the front door of the house and walked inside. He told the occupant of the home, Lori Lopez, to get rid of the kid. Lopez and her 16-year-old nephew locked themselves in a bedroom and called police.

The sheriff’s office said Reichmand started breaking items in the home, including a flat screen television and an interior door, and made holes in the wall.

Police said Lopez had seen Reichmand earlier begging on an Interstate 15 on-ramp earlier.

He left before deputies arrived, but they found him on the on-ramp. He was arrested on charges of burglary and malicious injury to property, both felonies.
