Man faces aggravated battery charge after fight

An early morning fight at an Idaho Falls bar landed a man in jail Tuesday on a charge of aggravated battery.

Idaho Falls police were called to Ford’s Bar around 12:30 a.m. to find a 25-year-old man with injuries to his face.The man told police Jimmie Lee James II, 27, of Idaho Falls, tried to provoke a fight. He said James punched him in the face several times when he tried to leave the bar to avoid a conflict.

James was being held in the Bonneville County Jail on charges of aggravated battery.
