Plane tips at Pocatello Airport
Emergency crews responded to a plane accident at the Pocatello Airport around 12:15 p.m.
The private plane, a Cessna-185, didn’t crash, but tipped over as it landed, authorities said.
Fuel was leaking from a wing of the plane.
Two people were in the plane, and neither were hurt.
The cause of the accident is under investigation, said Lt. Paul Manning of the Pocatello Police Department.
Lt. Manning also said crews had just gone through emergency drills in the case of a plane crash, so he said they were able to respond quickly and efficiently.
The National Transportation Safety Board has been notified, and Manning said authorities will take direction from the organization from this point.
The airport will still be running as usual, and flight times have not changed.
The plane was towed off the runway around 2 p.m.
