Powerball winners come forward
The $1 million winners of Wednesday’s Powerball have finally come forward.
For years, Connie Baumer has been leading a Powerball club made up of emergency room staff from the St. John’s Medical Center in Jackson, Wyo.
She was shopping in Idaho and stopped at the Stinker Store on Yellowstone Highway on the northeast side of Idaho Falls when she bought the tickets.
“There were 12 people who had put in money for the last draw. We had $12 in winnings, so I asked the clerk to give me a ticket for $12,” said Baumer in an Idaho Lottery news release Tuesday. “I got six lines of play. It was the middle child that won!”
In all, 12 people will split the winnings. The other 11 are:
– Maureen Miller of Idaho Falls
– Cheryl Hewitt, Kim Morse, Gary Baumer, Elaine Garrison, Karen Lisenby, Daniel Nelson, all of Jackson
– McIntosh Sullivan and David Bender of Victor
– Andrea Mathers of Auburn, Wyo.
– Christopher Morasco of Alpine, Wyo.
This winning Powerball ticket is the largest ever for residents from Wyoming.
It is the third million-dollar prize paid by the Idaho Lottery since July 10, 2013, and the 44th million-dollar or higher winning ticket claimed in the Idaho lottery’s history.
The Stinker Store will also get $20,000 for selling the winning ticket.
