Pocatello man arrested for gun threat

A dispute over plumbing costs led to the arrest of a Pocatello man Monday on charges of aggravated battery.

Pocatello Police said Laurence Greig McClellan, 58, displayed a handgun and threatened to shoot the victim.

According to reports, police were called to 300 block of Willard at approximately 6:10 p.m. The victim claimed McClellan completed some plumbing work for him and the two had an argument over the cost of the repair.

After a heated argument over the phone, the victim said McClellan came to his home. When the victim answered the door he blocked McClellan from entering.

Police said McClellan then allegedly displayed a handgun and threatened to shoot the man.

McClellan left the scene and was detained by officers a short distance away. McClellan was being held in the Bannock County jail.
