Pickup crashes into Snake River
Two Idaho Falls men walked away unhurt after their pickup rolled into the Snake River in Idaho Falls on Saturday.
Josh Brunson, 31, was driving north on Riverside Drive with his brother, 27-year-old Charles Brunson.
Just before 6 p.m., Josh Brunson lost control of the pickup. Charles Brunson said his brother tried to self-correct, but ended up spinning into the river.
“I didn’t do anything,” said the younger Brunson. “I just hold on tight and what’s going on? We had an icy spot, over-corrected. It happened pretty fast. … Yeah, it happened pretty quick. It was like, ‘Whoa, we just did that?'”
The brothers managed to get out of the car by themselves without any injuries.
Southbound lanes of Riverside Drive were shut down for around an hour while responders pulled the truck out of the river.
