Murder suspect dies in standoff

A murder suspect Nevada law enforcement said might be headed to Driggs died in a standoff with police in Reno on Monday.

Michael Dylan Brentlinger is accused of shooting his ex-girlfriend and her father with a .45-caliber semi-automatic handgun. The father died in Saturday’s shooting, and the woman was hospitalized with unknown injuries.

The Carson City, Nev., Sheriff’s Office had said Brentlinger might be going to Driggs, where he had previously resided, according to his Facebook page.

The sheriff’s office said more details likely would be released Tuesday.
