Stolen mouse, baby seat cover lead to meth arrest
A stolen baby seat cover and computer mouse led to Idaho Falls police discovering baggies of meth and arresting two people.
Idaho Falls police said Tuesday that officers responded to Walmart on Utah Avenue around 10 a.m. Sunday for a report of petty theft. Officers said Von Lane Fisher, 39, and Katy L. Weiershausen, 32, both of Idaho Falls, were caught stealing the two items.
During the arrest, officers said they found Fisher had 5.9 grams of methamphetamine packaged into separate baggies. He also had syringes, they said.
He was arrested on charges of trafficking methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and petty theft.
Weiershausen was arrested on a charge of petty theft.
