Idaho Falls driver charged after striking pedestrian

An Idaho Falls man was arrested on a felony charge Wednesday for leaving the scene of an accident. Idaho Falls Police said Kevin F. Danielewicz struck a 35-year-old man in the parking lot of Common Cents convenience store in the 500 block of East 17th Street.

Police were called to the store at 8:40 a.m. According to reports, Danielewicz drove a green, full-sized van into a gas truck and the man before fleeing the area. The incident created a minor gas spill.

Police found Danielewicz at his home in the 600 block of Park Avenue.

The name of the victim is being withheld.
