Police identify human remains found at Snow King Mountain
A forensic autopsy has identified the remains found at the base of Snow King Mountain Wednesday as those of 26-year-old Christian J. Polly of Jackson.
The Jackson Police Department said an initial investigation was launched when Polly was reported missing July 3. Searches at that time failed to turn up any sign of the man.
A forensic autopsy was performed at Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello. According to police, based on evidence developed in the missing persons case and at the scene where Polly was recovered, Polly’s death is not considered suspicious.
The Coroner’s Office and forensic pathologist are continuing to work to determine the exact cause of death.
