Two taken to hospital after wreck near Blackfoot

State police said two people were taken to the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center Friday night after being involved in a rollover crash on Interstate 15. The one-vehicle crash happened on northbound I15 near milepost 90.

State police said Kai-En Yap, 29, of Michigan, was driving northbound on the interstate when he approached slow moving traffic and had to abruptly change lanes from the right hand lane to the left hand shoulder. ISP said Yap overcorrected and rolled his vehicle across the interstate, where it came to rest in the right hand lane.

Yap and his passenger, Mengxi Zhang, of California, were both taken to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls.

Both Yap and Zhang were wearing their seat belts.
