6 hurt in fiery crash on I-15

Six people were hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 15 on Sunday.

Idaho State Police said the crash occurred about 11 miles north of Blackfoot around 5:30 p.m.

Bryan Thompson, 30, of Idaho Falls, was driving southbound in a 1997 Dodge Stratus. Jenniffer Reynolds, 28, of Idaho Falls, was traveling northbound in a 2010 Chevrolet Malibu.

Police said Thompson’s car went across the median, struck Reynolds’ car and caught on fire

Thompson and four juvenile passengers, as well as Reynolds, were all taken to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center by ground ambulance. Police said all but Reynolds were wearing seat belts.

The lanes were blocked for about an hour and a half while crews cleaned up the wreck.

ISP is investigating the crash.
