Idaho Falls shows its pride

Idaho Falls got a little more colorful Saturday.

Hundreds of gays, lesbians, transgenders and their supporters marched down E Street for the second annual Pride Parade in the city.

There were lots of colors, lots of balloons and lots of signs calling for equal rights for members of the LGBT community.

As the parade continued down the greenbelt, many voiced their pride.

“We’re here to tell everybody that we’re queer and we’re equal people just like everyone else,” said Joseph Crupper.

“It gives the youth an opportunity to see that they are people out here who are here for them 100 percent who want to celebrate them,” said Samantha Gresham. “Not just tolerate them, but celebrate them,”

The parade was organized by Idaho Falls Pride.
