Seattle man killed; Passengers taken to Pocatello hospital

State Police are investigating a fatal crash on Interstate 84, just east of the Cottrell Port of Entry. The crash happened at milepost 228.5 early Friday evening.

ISP said Robert Gary Tuttle, 69, of Seattle, was driving westbound when his pickup left the roadway. The vehicle continued through a fence, rolled and came to a stop in a field.

Tuttle died at the scene. His passenger, Laurel Johnson, of Utah, and a 12-year-old were both taken to Portneuf Regional Medical Center. ISP said all of the occupants were wearing seat belts and alcohol is not involved.
