School Closure: South Fork Elementary
The South Fork Elementary School in Rexburg was closed today due to a plumbing problem.
Friday was the last day of school before the Madison School District’s Christmas break. The district hopes to use that holiday time to repair the school’s problems.
Because of previous plumbing problems, the school has been operating on one set of bathrooms for some time. But, sewage problems began to affect those facilities this week, finally forcing closure of the building Friday.
