11 local charities surprised with checks
Eleven Idaho charities got some much-needed and unexpected financial support Tuesday night.
The groups received donations ranging from $500 to $2,000 as part of the Idaho Hometown Hero Annual Evening of Giving.
The event is hosted each year by the JRM Foundation, a group founded by Dr. Fahim Rahim.
“We got an email from Dr. Rahim a few days ago and it was a pleasant surprise,” said Adrean Cavener, executive director of the Idaho Meth Project which was presented with a $2,000 check.
This year’s recipients include:
