Jefferson County deputies investigate horse killings
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s office is investigating the shooting of two horses.
The animals were found dead by gunshot on Monday. Sheriff’s deputies believe the shooting occurred sometime Sunday.
Early in their investigation, deputies believe the animals were probably shot by accident in the dark by someone who mistook them for wild game.
The incident occurred on Bureau of Land Management land in the Terreton area.
