Rexburg police seek public help identifying person of interest

Rexburg Police are attempting to identify a person for questioning in connection with the theft of a wallet at BYU Idaho.

Police Captain Randy Lewis said the wallet was taken from a locker in the Hart Gym on October 2 between the hours of 2:20 p.m. And 3 p.m.

He said the man also fraudulently used credit cards from the stolen wallet at several Rexburg stores, including WalMart, Broulim’s, and Jamba Juice during October.

Photos from surveillance cameras all appear to be the same individual at the location of the theft and at the businesses where the credit cards were used.

Anyone who can identify the individual is asked to contact the Rexburg Police Department, call (208) 359-3008, or access the Rexburg Police Department’s Cyber-Tips website.
