Gas prices on the rise

Gas prices are going up and won’t be leveling off any time soon. That’s according to AAA.

That may mean bad news for those doing some traveling for spring break this year.
Experts at triple a say prices are jumping about 25 percent around the country, with exception to western new york, as their prices have slowly dropped.

But in Pocatello Thursday, a man getting gas at the Exxon station in Chubbuck has a interesting perspective as to how the increase came to be.

“I think they’ve been down for a while. And it’s probably time for them to increase it again since it’s an election year. And summer time especially, that’s kind of expected, but it’s a lot. They should be doing road repairs with the money, but i’m from blackfoot, i don’t see it very often,” said Randall Resue.

AAA says gas prices will climb another 30 to 50 cents a gallon by the end of May.
