Jackson Hole makes final plans for Rendezvous Fest 2016

“Well obviously it’s the biggest thing we’ve ever done. So everything is on steroids.” That’s what Bill Lewkowitz of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort said as they prepare for the largest festival the resort has ever thrown.

“The Rendezvous festival is a four-day spring lifestyle festival that includes live concerts, festivities, and on snow events,” said Anna Cole of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. “We’ve been planning for months.”

The Rendezvous Fest 2016 runs from March 17 – 20. It boasts free concerts, food vendors, and events from Thursday through Sunday. The one concert that people have to pay for is already sold out and that’s the Zac Brown Band concert happening Saturday night.

With so many events, resort officials are asking people to park elsewhere and take transit. This is especially true on Friday – Sunday morning when the main resort parking lot is closed for the Zac Brown concert.

“We have an offsite parking lot called Stilson,” said Lewkowitz. “We have over a thousand parking spaces down there. We have transportation to the resort and back after the concert that night, running until approximately 1 a.m. in the morning.”

When turning off WY 22 (the Teton Pass Road), the Stilson parking lot is a few hundred feet to the left after turning north on to Wyoming 390 towards Teton Village.

Lewkowitz said extra buses will be available on Saturday when things are expected to be the busiest.
