Police investigate shooting death outside EIRMC
The Eastern Idaho Critical Incident Task Force is investigating the death of 60-year- old David Alma Giles.
Giles of St. Anthony died at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center Friday morning.
Initial reports show, a Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to a 911 call regarding a medical issue along U.S. Highway 20 early Friday morning.
The deputy transported Giles to EIRMC. At 6:55 a.m. the deputy arrived with Giles at the EIRMC parking lot when an altercation occurred ending in the shooting death of Giles.
This incident is under investigation.
Idaho State Police is the lead investigator with the assistance of the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office.
