5-year-old placed in relative’s care after Idaho Falls arrests
The arrest of a St. Anthony woman in Idaho Falls led to additional charges against three other men Wednesday night, while a young child was placed into the care of relatives.
Idaho Falls Police said Tina Spencer, 22, of St. Anthony was booked into the Bonneville County jail on three warrants, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, resisting and obstructing, frequenting a place where drugs are being used and misemeanor injury to a child.
Police said they received reports Spencer was staying at the Pinecrest Inn around 11:30 p.m. She was contacted in the parking lot and taken into custody. She was found in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Once in custody, Spencer asked police to contact the people in her room to take care of her five-year-old son there. In the room, officers found the child along with Phillip Worsham, 22, and Joshua Spencer, 22, both of St. Anthony and Charlie Phelps, 45, of Idaho Falls and various pieces of drug paraphernalia, methamphetamine, and marijuana.
Worsham was booked into the Bonneville County Jail on an outstanding warrant and for possession of methamphetamine. Phelps was cited and released for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
According to police, Joshua and Tina Spencer both initially lied to police about Joshua’s identity. Joshua Spencer was arrested for two outstanding warrants, providing false information to police, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The five-year-old boy was placed in the care of a relative.
