Experts debate sex and alcohol in Utah ‘Deadpool’ case

A Utah court fight over alcohol, sex and “Deadpool” is drawing in experts dueling over booze at suggestive movies and the artistic value of the foul-mouthed superhero film.

Court documents show the state of Utah is citing a professor who says alcohol can increase sexually aggressive tendencies, while another expert says that doesn’t play out in the real world.

A judge set a July 2017 trial date on Thursday.

The case started after regulators threatened to fine the theater Brewvies up to $25,000 under a law that bans serving booze during films with simulated sex or full-frontal nudity.

The theater challenged the measure they say is so vague it would apply to Michelangelo’s “David.”

The case caught the attention of the movie’s star Ryan Reynolds, who donated $5,000 to help pay the theater’s legal bills.
