Detailed Forecast for Nov. 21, 2016

An unsettled week ahead with unorganized disturbances moving through the region from time to time. The first arrives on Monday from the south bringing in valley rains and higher elevation snow. Things quiet down a bit from Tuesday into Wednesday morning before our next round of snow moves in later on Wednesday. Keep that in mind if traveling for Thanksgiving!

Monday, overcast skies with showers likely especially south and east of I-15. Snow levels up around 7000 feet and then dropping through the evening. Highs staying steady into the upper 30’s and 40’s. Chance of precip 80%. Winds from the southwest at 10-15mph.

Tonight, mostly cloudy with scattered snow showers especially over the Eastern Highlands. Light accumulations around an inch possible for mountain valleys. Patchy fog is possible as well. Lows into the upper 20’s and low 30’s. Chance of snow 40%.

Tuesday, aside from a few morning flurries, clearing skies throughout the day giving way to partly cloudy conditions and some sunshine. Highs into the upper 30’s and lower 40’s. Slight chance of a snow shower into the mountains.

Wednesday, partly cloudy skies to start and then increasing cloudiness as our next round of snow moves in later in the afternoon and overnight. Winds picking up from the southwest at 10-25mph. Chance of snow 50%.
