One sent to hospital after accident in Teton County, Idaho

State Highway 33 near Tetonia is open following a crash Tuesday afternoon that sent one person to the hospital.

Idaho State Police report just before 3:00 p.m. troopers were called to a crash at milepost 133.

ISP says 41-year-old Brandon Byrd of Blackfoot was driving eastbound on the highway when he crossed the center line and collided with 38-year-old Jacob Lamarine of Jackson who was driving westbound.

It is unclear if Byrd was wearing a seatbelt, he was taken to Teton Valley Hospital in Driggs, his injuries and condition are unknown as of Tuesday night.

Lamarine along with two other passengers were all wearing seatbelts and were not taken to the hospital.

The highway was closed for about 3 hours, the crash is under investigation.
