One man killed in rollover crash near Rexburg
A 19-year -old man was killed in a one-vehicle rollover crash on US Highway 20 at 8:03 a.m. Monday.
The Madison County Sheriff’s office said Jake K. Nilsson was ejected from his 1990 Toyota pickup near milepost 336, just south of the Rexburg North exit.
CPR had been started when deputies arrived on the scene. Nilsson was transported to Madison Memorial Hospital by ambulance where he was later pronounced dead.
No other passengers were in the pickup.
The sheriff’s office said the highway was slick and snow was falling at the time of the accident. Deputies were already assisting with several other crashes and slide-offs in the area.
Investigation is continuing.
