Chubbuck man arrested for burglary after victim spots crime in progress
Chubbuck Police have arrested a man for burglary after one of the man’s victims saw the crime in progress and reported him to the police.
25-year-old James Scott was arrested and booked into the Bannock County Jail on four counts of burglary, as well as misdemeanor obstruction and delay, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
On Wednesday at about 4 p.m. Chubbuck Police recieved a report from a citizen who said she had seen an unknown man enter her garage on Wendy Street and take items from the garage. Officers responded to the area and located Scott who was arrested after being identified by the witness.
Officers located stolen items in Scott’s possession that were related to separate thefts that had occurred in the same general area and were reported to the department previously.
This investigation is still on going.
