INL releases Civet open-source software for developers
The Idaho National Laboratory has released a new open-source tool for software developers. The Continuous Integration, Verification, Enhancement and Testing tool, or Civet for short, is the latest INL software to be released free to the public on the lab’s GitHub website.
The INL released the tool in hopes to collaborate with the public to refine it and to improve the productivity of software developers who use it.
Civet helps developers automate the process of making changes in their software, which allows developers to work on less menial tasks and focus on what they are good at, solving problems and authoring solutions.
Civet was originally designed to be used with INL’s MOOSE modeling and simulation platform, however the tool can be used for any software development.
