Herberger’s looking to team up with small business owners and entreprenuers in Idaho
Herberger’s, the family department store, has already launched 45 “Close to Home” specialty shops in its stores in various states. And now, one of those specialty shops is coming to the Herberger’s in Chubbuck, Idaho.
“Basically, what it is, is local entrepreneurs and artists, specifically in Idaho can present their goods in our store,” said the Chubbuck Herberger’s manager, Jeff Johnson.
All of the “Close to Home” shops feature products that were made in that particular state.
One of Herberger’s initiatives is to take an active role in the community. By creating “Close to Home” shops inside their department stores, they are able to partner with local business owners and artists, which allows Herberger’s to sell unique products and support local businesses and artists.
The department store in Chubbuck has been accepting applications from artists and businesses who want to sell their products in the store this fall.
As of right now, nobody from Chubbuck, Pocatello, or Idaho Falls has turned into an application.
Herberger’s is accepting applications until March 24.
