Woman charged after crashing car into a home

A Pocatello woman was arrested at around 2:05 a.m. Friday after her car crashed into a home in the 1500 block of South 2nd Avenue. Pocatello Police said the driver, subsequently identified as Elise Larou Metz, 25, ran away from the crash. She was found by officers a short distance away at 1107 S. 5th. Metz is the registered owner of the car. She was arrested for 2nd offense driving under the influence and for “duty upon striking fixtures upon or adjacent to a highway.” She failed to notify the property owner of an accident. Police said no one was injured in the incident.
