Conversation about Evangelicals and Mormons beliefs pack auditorium
More than 2,000 people packed the Idaho Falls Civic Auditorium Thursday night to listen to two men talk about their religious beliefs.
The event was called an Evangelical-Mormon Conversation.
The evening started with local talent engaging the audience in song and dance.
Brad Wilcox, a BYU professor, and Steve Crane, a pastor with Eagle Christian Church, spoke about the difference and similarities the two religions have.
Nothing was scripted, just a talk, a civil discourse on where the religions agree and disagree.
It was noted that words like God, Jesus, Heaven, and Salvation have a little different definition for each side.
The event was organized by Christ Community Church in Idaho Falls to promote understanding.
