Power outage affects Rocky Mountain Power customers
Rocky Mountain Power is working to restore power to all customers affected by transmission system problems Wednesday afternoon. The outages were first reported around 2:55 p.m.
Officials say the outage was caused after a car crashed into a utility pole. The accident happened at 3700 East and 400 North, about a mile from the old Rigby High School building in Jefferson County.
The outages affect a varying number of customers served by seven substations between Rigby and Ashton.
The utility hopes to have the system stabilized by around 4 p.m.
