Idaho man accused of throwing Molotov cocktail at courthouse
Authorities arrested Chirstopher Griffin after they found him with a Molotov cocktail firebomb – the same type of explosive that exploded outside the Bannock County Courthouse on Wednesday. The Bannock County Sheriff’s office said when they looked at camera footage, it looked like the Molotov firebomb exploded in Griffin’s hand outside the courthouse. Investigators discovered Griffin had filled up a glass bottle with gasoline early Wednesday morning at a gas station. Griffin returned to the same gas station early Thursday morning to fill up another bottle. The gas station called officials and the Pocatello Police Department held him until the Bannock County Sheriff’s office could arrive. The Bannock County Sheriff’s Office said during an interview with Griffin, he told them a judge ordered him to stop drinking and he was upset about that. Sheriff Nielsen said nobody was hurt during the incident. Currently Griffin’s bond is set at $100,000.
